My Style
I love capturing the stories of our lives with a camera. I'm an on location photographer and I like to use a mix of available light, or off-camera flash; whichever I feel is appropriate or necessary for the situation. I would describe my work as vibrant, at times dreamy, whimsical, moody. I like to grab the little things, as it's all those little details that add up to the bigger picture (no pun intended).
I like to take a raw image into my computer and explore it, massage it, and try to make it all it can be, exploring black and white, vintage, or a dreamy look - or a combination of all three!
About Me
I love life. I love God, my wife Stephanie, my daughter Natalie, and my son Roman. I try to eat a little healthier all the time, and exercise some of the time. We have two dogs, more stuff than we need, and a house that barely contains us. In our free time, you might find us outside, Steph pulling weeds, me tinkering with something in the garage, and Natalie riding her bike. At this point, Roman really just wants me to hold him up so that he can play my drum set.

What to Wear for
Your Hilton Head Island Beach Portrait
Many times I am asked what you should wear when having your beach portrait taken. Here are a few basic guidelines.
I suggest steering clear of clothing that has any kind of lettering on it. This can be very distracting, and most of the time is one of the first things your eye is drawn to in an image. Too much pattern is dangerous, too, especially if more than one person in the photograph is wearing patterns. Black is always slimming, along with darker colors. White will always be the first thing you see aside from letters. Jewelry is usually best kept to a minimum.
A couple or group should be the same or complimentary in style and color of clothing. Matching as a group is great, but not at the expense of looking one's personal best. For instance, if you're all wearing khaki and white, and you just don't look or feel good in a button down shirt, wear something else in white that you feel and look good in.
No shoes required; you will be barefoot on the beach, although you'll probably want to bring sandals for walking to the beach.
One other thing - Careful with the tanning. I understand you may want to be nice and tan for your Hilton Head Beach Portrait, but remember that you do NOT want to have a bright red sunburn with stark white tan lines. Consider where your tan lines will be, and make sure your clothing will cover them.
In general I suggest wearing something that you feel comfortable in. You look your best when you feel at ease.
In the end, rules are always made to be broken, but just remember to wear what makes you feel like the best, most beautiful you;)
